Workshop
Free-form Ndebele
Skill level: an Intermediate Or Advanced Level Workshop
Take advantage of NanC Meinhardt’s own exploration and creative
excitement in free form Ndebele. You will start at the beginning with
the easy to learn basics of flat and tubular Ndebele. After learning
the basics, you are on your way to free form Ndebele: a brand new
sculptural application of this satisfying technique. You will learn to
increase, decrease, embellish, layer, build bead channels up and out
from your bead work, create floral and leaf shapes, switch from flat
to tubular and back, incorporate different size and shapes of beads,
and make bead bridges to attach areas of your work together. The
participants will have the opportunity to create an intuitively
conceived project letting their imagination play as they integrate
these variations. Leave it to Meinhardt to turn Ndebele into a
sculptural find.
