Ndebele Lariat
ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME
Mix together Ndebele off-loom bead weaving with a variety of different
size seed beads to create a lovely lariat rope necklace. Adding larger
and/or smaller beads in the same weave and a frothy fringe will create a
supple masterpiece. Ndebele is an easy to learn technique which lends
itself to many variations on the theme, such as three-sided Ndebele,
frothy fringe, frothy surface embellishment, addition of embellishment
beads, Ndebele spiral, checkerboard Ndebele, braiding Ndebele, and making
toggle closures for those who would rather wear a shorter necklace or
create a bracelet. This workshop with NanC Meinhardt will inspire your
creativity.
